who is R.S.Clymer?

Reuben Swinburne Clymer was a prominent figure in the early 20th century spiritual movement known as the fraternitas rosae crucis (frc), or the rosicrucian fellowship. clymer was said to have been born on september 22, 1878 in new lebanon, ohio and became interested in the occult and spiritual teachings at a young age. he went on to study at the university of cincinnati and later at the college of medicine and surgery in chicago.

clymer's spiritual journey began in earnest when he encountered the teachings of the frc and its founder, dr. h. spencer lewis. clymer was deeply impressed by lewis' emphasis on personal spiritual growth and the power of the individual to shape their own reality through their thoughts and beliefs. he became a member of the FRC in 1906 and eventually rose through the ranks to become its leader in 1925, following lewis' death.

clymer's philosophy was centered on the idea that the individual holds the key to their own spiritual growth and development. He believed that each person has the power to tap into the universal consciousness and tap into their own inner wisdom through meditation, self-reflection, and the study of spiritual teachings. he emphasized the importance of personal responsibility and the need for each individual to take charge of their own spiritual path.

one of the key teachings of clymer's philosophy was the concept of "cause and effect." he believed that every action has consequences, both in the physical world and in the spiritual realm. this idea is reflected in the rosicrucian maxim, "as above, so below," which suggests that the microcosm of the individual is connected to and reflects the macrocosm of the universe.

clymer also believed in the power of positive thinking and the importance of maintaining a positive outlook on life. he taught that the thoughts we hold have a powerful impact on our reality and that we have the ability to manifest our desires through the power of our thoughts and beliefs.

in addition to his philosophical teachings, clymer was also a prolific author, writing numerous books on spiritual topics such as meditation, personal development, and the power of the mind. some of his most well-known works include "The Rosicrucian Philosophy in Questions and Answers," "The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception," and "The Hidden Life in Freemasonry."

clymer's influence on the spiritual community was significant and his teachings continue to be studied and practiced by many today, including myself. his philosophy of personal responsibility and the power of the individual to shape their own reality through their thoughts and beliefs has resonated with people from all walks of life and has had a lasting impact on the spiritual landscape.
